My name is Hans Verheyen. Once started and trained as a carpenter, I traveled through Europe extensively to work in different places. I’ve been working in the construction and renovation business in Great Britain, Germany and Austria for several years. Already at this time I could not think of anything else than picking up projects that were out-of-the-ordinary, everything odd and special appealed to me and I was constantly looking for new challenges. This open-minded institution has ultimately made me end up at Gielissen 32 years ago, now called Gielissen Interiors & Exhibitions. At that time still a small company in the exhibition stand and interior business, but nowadays one of the bigger companies on the international market. 

It didn’t take long before I realized that the work I performed at Gielissen was the work for which I was cut out for. As the years progressed, I worked as an on-site executive manager in more and more projects, and the workload coming with this job is addictive to me. The challenge, stress and adrenaline is the perfect fuel for me to bring a small or large project to a successful conclusion with complete customer’s satisfaction. 

Another thing that still attracts me to this business is the common spirit in the projects, the co-creation, the we-spirit: setting up an exhibition stand meeting all of the customer’s requirements exactly with corresponding sales results. 

However, after 32 years, it gets boring to go through the same project cycle over and over again, and face the overhead in communication and finance that is common in every large company nowadays. This has been the motivation for me to start a business of my own, I aim at bringing back the honesty and authenticity that is obvious to me in my work. The focus of Hans Verheyen Exhibiton Services is put on customer service, short lines of communication, openness and an honest, quality product for a competitive price.
